FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

We specialize in pool tile cleaning, acid washing, & chlorine rinsing for all types of pools including plaster, pebble, tile & stone. No matter what type of pool, spa, or water feature you have, we have the experience and expertise to get the job done right.

We recommend cleaning pool tile every 1-2 years to prevent buildup and keep your pool looking its best. However, the frequency of cleaning may depend on factors such as the age of your pool, the type of water in your area, and your pool usage.

We use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to ensure that your pool tile is thoroughly cleaned and restored. Our process involves a gentle media blasting technique that removes buildup without damaging the tile, followed by an acid wash to restore the pool surface.

The short answer is yes, in most cases we recommend draining the pool. The age and hardness of the pool water is what causes the calcium buildup on the tile. If the water is more than a year old and is not drained completely, it is likely that the calcium line will begin to return in just a few months. The older the water, the faster it will return. This is the same reason we typically suggest a light acid wash to remove any staining or calcium buildup from the pool surface, especially on pebble surfaces.

It depends on the type of surface the pool has. Plaster pools can crack in higher temperatures, we don’t recommend draining them if it’s above 90 degrees. Pebble pools on the other hand can be drained at any temperature, any time of the year. We have drained hundreds of pebble pools at temps above 100 degrees without an issue.
